Learning from David
Hi guys!
It’s gonna be less typing, more watching today. I’m so excited about the video blog ’cause it’s been on my mind for a while now. I just didn’t want to do it however, until I had something to say. The opportunity arose through the life of David and I hope you enjoy it and also learn from it too.
I took the lesson from 1 Samuel 30:1-20.
I had some difficulties uploading the video straight from my laptop to the blog so I had to be innovative *shy wave* and use YouTube. Due to the time limit allowed on YouTube, I had to do some brutal editing. I apologise for any random cuts. I made the video private though. I’m shy like that!
Enjoy.
*****The thank yous that were cut out are to Myne Whitman and Linda Ikeji*****
Hope you enjoyed it!
In other news, I am watching ANTM right now and I am so sad for Ann. She seems to be going downhill. She has slipped from having best photo 5 times to being in bottom 2 last week and so far, this week is not looking that promising for her either. Here is the link for those who are interested.
This Saturday is going to be amazing as I told y’all in the video. Can’t wait!
PS: Whenever I video blog, the text will be italicised.
That’s all folks (for now)

Loads to learn from David. Such an outstanding man he was. I have issues uploading videos from my laptop too. If you ever figure it out, lemme know how you went about it.
Well done!

I think David was beloved of God, yet He knew how to move God through worship. He was also human too cos he made mistakes. Im gonna read that passage again.

for starters, lovely hairdo.
sure word for the season.
for whatever decision you make, God should definitely lead you.
never assume, rather inquire and make sure you have got his backing.
David was a cheat, liar, ….. but his heart was pure. God loved him so much and his favour was upon him too.
David had a small and humble beginning but learnt to depend on God and he waxed strong and great, totally devoted to HIM. He would sing Psalms, hyms and spiritual songs to God from a heart of worship. i think that is just it– a HEART of WORSHIP.
okeydoks.
Kip it up dear!

u r not shy at all o! big up… lovely hair by the way.
yea, david has always been of interest to me.. he was everything we frown upon this day and he was highly favoured by God. God saw his heart and he worshipped God with all his heart even though his flesh was weak.

Yay! finally watched the video and it was well worth it. I’ve always known David as someone who did nothing until he had inquired of the Lord. But the part about him and his men taking care of the Egyptian even in their time of distress was just mind-boggling. How often do I get consumed by my own worries to the utter neglect of everyone else around me. God help me. This is an amazing revelation. Thanks for sharing.
By the way, you looked so natural on camera. Thot u said u were shy? 😉

I totally concur. The bible says that while men look at the outward appearance, God’s focus is on the heart. David had is heart in the right place.

I enjoyed your video blog so much, Temi 🙂
I love the way you described how David waited to “inquire of the Lord first” before moving. That’s the most important thing we can ever do before making any decision. It behooves us to move hastily before God gives us the map of where we’re going. David intrigues me as well. His lifestyle was one of “worship to God,” and worship is the way to our Father’s heart. Lord, teach us how to worship You…straight to Your heart. Amen.

Nice talk and you make a great video too. May the Lord teach us to be more like David in the way that matter to Him. I’m blessed.

for some reason The message kept replaying on my computer. it’s funny how extrapolating David’s life is always relevant in today’s world. Good work
